Although Art and Finance are completely different fields, you’ve got to be creative and extremely diligent to do well in both!
I began creating custom artwork work for customers at the age of 16. I started with markers in sketchbooks, then moved to painting and printing on textiles and canvas, and now I almost exclusively work with vinyl figurines. I have undertaken everything from motion and print design to fine art, however, I have found my passion in customizing high-end designer toys for collectors.
I've happily created and delivered over 50 finely detailed hand-painted pieces for collectors around the world. I even had the pleasure of designing a production vinyl figure for NY fashion company Nooka, and displayed my work at the Dreamworks Fine Art Gallery. Aside from toy design I enjoy developing brand identity; creating promotional material for a variety of clients including musicians, small businesses, and student groups such as UBC Thunderbird Robotics. Among the non-art related hobbies, I love gaming(SC2 & DoTA2), reading, swimming, rollerblading, and playing soccer & basketball.

What is your turn-around time?
Customs typically take me 3-5 weeks to complete. However, there is almost always a bit of a wait-list* so please e-mail me to confirm the estimated completion date. Please note that orders must be confirmed with a 20% deposit.
*Current wait-list extends to October 1st, 2013. Although this date may move forward or backward, it is a rough estimate of when you will be able to receive your completed order if you pay your deposit today.
What are your rates?
My rates vary depending upon each unique piece. To give you a rough idea, most of my customs (4″-7″) are within the $200 to $350 range. For a more accurate quote, indicate the vinyl figure/model and size you are interested in. Shipping from Vancouver, Canada to anywhere in the world is Free!
Remember, prices are in CAD/USD.
Do you supply the toys?
For the most part yes, if I have a standard model in stock I will supply it. I usually carry a variety of Kidrobot toys in different sizes. Some collectors will prefer to supply the toys for me, especially if they are more uncommon. The base cost of the toy is included in the price as long as it’s under $50 in value.
How much extra for sculpting or accessories?
Since 2012, I’ve began sculpting on all my customs. I don’t charge extra for supplies & extra features/accessories. However, if a custom requires something ridiculous like swarovski crystals etc. then I will need reimbursement for those extra costs. Alternatively, if you’d like to request no sculpting I can work out a discount.
How do you take payment?
I accept payment through interact online money transfer or preferably PayPal. A 50% deposit is required before I begin and the remainder is paid once the final design is complete. I am also open to other arrangements.
